\nReview: Delta Domestic First Class \u2013 Minneapolis to Sacramento<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\nSo during the month of December I watched the days go by and lamented the fact that I had no travel plans. Don\u2019t take me wrong, I love the holidays but I also like to travel. Then it happened. A close friend Scott reached out and made the offer. \u201cHey Jimmy, you know that event I tell you about on the first of the year. Well, you should come out to New York and be my guest.\u201d Done!<\/p>\n
Well, it was done by Scott and me, but I also had the matter of Susan. I wasn\u2019t quite sure I could pull this one off. I floated the subject matter to her. \u201cSuzy, you know that party Scott goes to on the first. Well he invited me to it this year\u2026?\u201d Her response was \u201cWell, I\u2019m not going! What do you want me to do just hang out in the hotel!? Besides it\u2019ll be a zoo over New Year\u2019s.\u201d This wasn\u2019t promising. But before I could response with some desperate plea Susan added; \u201cJust go by yourself. You\u2019ll have fun and I\u2019ll have a quite weekend at home.\u201d Ok dear.<\/p>\n
First, a little about my friend Scott and this party. When I first met Scott in college we were both young broke college students. After we graduated and our lives progressed and Scott eventually moved to New York City, married and became a full on New Yorker. He belongs to one of the old private social men\u2019s clubs of the city and every year on January 1st<\/sup> they throw a big party. Great food, drinking and carousing is had by all. Scott has tried to get me to come out in the past and I\u2019ve never been able to do it. But this year I was going to be able to go.<\/p>\nAs I day dreamed about the impending trip and time with my good friend, Susan commented; \u201cHave fun enjoying yourself, and please don\u2019t do anything terribly stupid.\u201d Good advice dear, good advice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
