Susan and I had an expiring award night with Hyatt at the end of February and took the opportunity to redeem the award for an evening in the San Francisco bay area. Our go to Hyatt in San Francisco is the Regency which sits right next to Ferry Building on the Embarcadero. It’s a great property (albeit a little older) and a favorite of ours.

Well as luck would have it the regency didn’t have availability on that evening, but the Hyatt Fisherman’s Warf did. Susan wasn’t super excited about this other Hyatt; but I been wanting to check it out. It is marketed as a Hyatt Centric hotel, which is their boutique brand. Since we didn’t have another choice for the bay area Susan went along with the Hyatt Fisherman’s Warf.

Main hallway off the elevator

Turn left

Room 351

The hallways are decorated with a light blue nautical theme tying in with the “Warf” location of the hotel. This review is going to be an abbreviated one as our stay was for just 1 night and we had limited time. We drove from the Sacramento area to the Hyatt Fisherman’s Warf and checked the car in for valet service. San Francisco bay area Hyatt valet usually runs about $60 per night and I was expecting this for our stay.

View walking into room

King size bed

Doorway with closet and bath looking back

Small loveseat with working table

Bathroom

Commode

Sink

Shower

Closet

Sitting chair

Caffeine

View out the window

At check in we were helped by a very sweet agent at the front desk. She welcomed us as Hyatt Gold Diamonds and said that she wanted to upgrade us to a “higher” level room, but that only a standard king was available. She asked if she could comp our valet fees and also added that she wanted us to have the both the 1000 bonus points and in room amenity. It was a nice recognition of our status and we thanked her for the kind treatment.

Wine and cheese plate

Cheese plate close up

In the morning we enjoyed complimentary breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I should have included more photos of our breakfast, but I just wasn’t on my game for that morning. On the way back to the room I made a point to check out the hotel pool which seemed nice enough. An outdoor pool is not that common in the San Francisco area hotels.

Corridor with seating into hotel restaurant

Breakfast menu 1

Menu 2 (excuse the glare)
